01One drawer warm, the other still cold?
If something has slid to the back and that drawer front sits proud of the otherSafe to wait
Clear it and shut the drawer. A front held a finger's width open lets kitchen air in along its top edge; give it a few hours.

With the closing ruled out, the cause is behind the panels: the seal, the air reaching that drawer, or a sensor. Readings decide.
02Frost or water along a drawer front?

Sub-Zero lists a drawer left open among the first causes. For heavy ice: unit off, a hair dryer on low kept moving, water wiped up.

Sub-Zero's guide sends a ripped seal to service. Frost that returns on a closed drawer means air is getting past it.
Why the top drawer is different
The two drawers look alike from the kitchen, but Sub-Zero wires the upper one to the control. A sticking top drawer, its seal, or anything lost behind it is our job, not a weekend one.
One drawer against the other
Hold a hand flat inside each drawer. Both slightly warm after a busy evening means nothing yet. One warm and one cold, on a drawer that shuts properly, is worth the visit.

- Can I take the upper drawer of an ID-24R out to clean behind it?
- Sub-Zero's guide notes that the upper drawer on its drawer models carries a control cable, which has to be disconnected before the drawer comes out.
